Founded in 1945 by brothers Luigi and Livio Bolzoni, the company is now celebrating 80 years of activity, confirming itself as one of the world leaders in the design and production of equipment for forklifts, forks and lifting tables. From a small workshop in the post-war period to a presence on all continents, Bolzoni has been able to transform a local entrepreneurial vision into a global project.
On Saturday 27th September, the company opened its doors to the 382 employees of the Piacenza plant and their families. CEO Marco Rossi expressed his pride: "We have managed to get this far, because of the people who have been with us over the last 80 years, doing an excellent job. We owe them our thanks, because they have enabled us to survive and remain competitive on the market. We have many challenges ahead of us, but I am sure that we will face them in the best possible way, thanks to them too." As always, Bolzoni looks to the future with a focus on innovation, new technologies and environmental sustainability. A photovoltaic system is currently being installed that will reduce annual emissions by over 400,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide.
The Group now has 16 branches, 7 production plants and over 1300 employees. The beating heart remains in Piacenza, Italy, where the Research and Development center, the engine of the Group's technological innovation, is also located. The focus on automation and advanced logistics is reflected in the development of solutions for AGVs (autonomous driving trucks) distributed worldwide. "The spirit is always to do something more every day," says President Roberto Scotti. "Success comes from clear strategies and people who believe in the project." With 80 years of history, the Bolzoni Group looks ahead, ready to face the challenges of a constantly evolving global market.
