Success Story: A Unique Application in the UAE

One of the recent standout handling solutions has been developed in cooperation with PROXAUT, a renowned company specialized in the design and production of AGVs vehicles.

Bolzoni group has designed and customized paper roll clamps to equip PROXAUT AGVs. These AGVs are now working in a flagship production facility in the United Arab Emirates, where a fleet of autonomous guided forklifts is equipped with Auramo rotating clamps designed by BOLZONI Group.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, across three shifts, this facility exemplifies the efficiency and reliability of BOLZONI Group’s solutions.

This specialized Auramo clamp allows the AGV to handle specific load units, including plastic and laminated film coils with an outer diameter up to 1,800 mm (70.8’’), weighing up to 2,500 kg (5,500 Lbs). The clamp not only securely grips the load but also rotates in a predetermined direction. This customized solution enables the AGV to pick up coils exiting printing and cutting machines with a horizontal core and to stack them vertically. The coil storage area consists of stacks reaching heights up to 7 meters (2.13 ft).

For example, in the automotive industry, the electric-driven fork positioner allows AGV to precisely position forks for different pallet sizes, enhancing efficiency in manufacturing and warehousing processes.
In the tobacco industry the range offers fully electric-driven 360-degree rotating box clamps, enabling AGVs to clamp, stack, and rotate bins of tobacco efficiently. Additionally, the trilateral head for narrow aisle AGVs is used in the food and beverage industry to allow a complete 180-degree rotation, increasing operational speed and productivity.
